Dell expands business in the telecommunications service providers (CSPs) market.
Dell now sees the telecommunications hardware and software sector as a major opportunity for its business. The company is planning to develop 5G software packages, 5G Open RAN software, multi-access edge computing platforms, and private network solutions.

Microsoft is expanding its telecom portfolio with private MEC
Azure private multi-access edge compute (MEC) product is already posted in Microsoft's website. This solution provides ultra-low-latency networking, applications, and services at the enterprise edge. Azure private MEC can be a great addition to Metaswitch Fusion Core which supports 4G and 5G network functions, etc.
China begins massive roll out of 5G base stations in preparation for Beijing 2022
More than 100 5G base stations have been installed in 17 competition venues for next year's Winter Olympic and Paralympics in Beijing as China begins a massive communications upgrade in preparation for the Games, Chinese press reported.

U.K. operator BT teamed with satellite company OneWeb to explore how the latter's service could help close broadband gaps in areas beyond the reach of its mobile and fiber networks.

Amazon partners with Vodafone for the edge computing launch in UK
Vodafone will provide low-latency "edge computing" services to customers in London as well as towns and cities including Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol and Cardiff. However, clients in Scotland and the northern regions of England will get the service in 2022.

SES Networks became the first satellite service provider to achieve certification under Amazon Web Services
