Beeline KZ has deployed
NFWare CGNAT capable of 1.6 Tbps to address the rapid traffic growth. The deployed solution is the first of its kind software CGNAT installation working as a unified cluster on such high throughput. NFWare, the developer of innovative networking software, provided the virtual CGNAT product. The hardware platform is delivered by
H3C, an industry leader in the provision of Digital Solutions.
Like many other CSPs nowadays, Beeline, the leading operator in Kazakhstan by the number of subscribers, faced the challenge of vast traffic growth. That required an easily scalable, and high-performance solution for a CGNAT function.
The deployed product can work at high throughput as a unified cluster: several NFWare instances process equal traffic on standardized H3C servers and 100GE data center switches. Currently, each of the two installations processes 400 Gbps on two servers but scales simply by adding another server in run-time with no impact on customer service.
The agility and scalability of the deployment are uniquely possible because of the combination of the two vendors' abilities. NFWare can process high throughput on x86 servers because of its patented packet processing technology. It can utilize the maximum of hardware resources, leading to a small hardware footprint. H3C offers a wide range of servers and SDN Switches configuration that supports any throughput requirements: small installations for a city coverage or large country-wide deployments.
CGNAT deployment is one of Beeline's moves towards 5G. Lego-like CGNAT solution can scale up and down or be divided into several installations depending on the business needs. The pay-as-you-grow model enables the optimized cost of ownership.
