NFV

The NFV approach aims to address various company needs by leveraging standard IT virtualization technology to consolidate multiple network equipment types onto industry-standard high volume servers, switches and storage units, which may be located in Data Centres and Network Nodes.

NFV separates network functions from specialized hardware devices and transfers them to virtual servers that combine different functions in a single physical server. This approach reduces costs and minimizes the need for customer access and manual maintenance, as virtual devices replace specialized network equipment.
