NFWare Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CGN or CGNAT), also known as Large Scale NAT (LSN), an NFV-based virtual appliance providing high-performance address translation, is in the running for Best VNF Application. It not only alleviates the problem of the shortfall of IPv4 addresses, but smooths the transition to IPv6 infrastructure, which is exactly the kind of forward-thinking that the NetTAs have been established to reward.

The recognition of groundbreaking technology such as NFWare vCGNAT represents a new willingness within the industry to endorse and celebrate innovative solutions. Being nominated is a moment of great pride for the company as well as an added incentive to keep exploring ways that we can continue to push the boundaries of our field.

NFWare vCGNAT is an NFV-based virtual appliance designed to provide high-performance transparent address and protocol translation at a rate of up to 200Gbps on standard x86 servers. It provides a smooth transition to IPv6 and help servers providers to fastly extend their IPv4 networks.
